Title:
Suddenly I See (Cover, KT Tunstall)
Description:
Aubrey Shamel and the band cover "Sunddenly I See."
Title:
Give Me One Reason (Cover, Tracy Chapman)
Description:
I love rockin' out to this classic.
Title:
Chain of Fools (Cover, Aretha Franklin)
Description:
This is one song that everyone should sing though no one can match the soul of Aretha. No wonder this reworked gospel is an old time heart wrenching favorite.
Title:
Dinner With the Polar Bears
Description:
The title seems odd but I promise by the end of the song it will all make sense.
Title:
Stupid Girls (Cover, Pink)
Description:
Thanks to Pink for inspiring all girls to their personal greatness. I want to be a part of that. I rewrite some of the lyrics so that girls of all ages can hear the message.
Title:
So What (Cover, Pink)
Description:
Pink sings with passion no one else can capture. I love the messages in her songs, inspiring.
Title:
Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel (Original Arrangement)
Description:
My twist on a classic. Hans and the guitar riff are fantastic. Rocking out to praise the birth of Christ.
Title:
Black Horse and a Cherry Tree (Cover, KT Tunstall)
Description:
What makes this song so fun is the use of percussion and rhythm. A mix of folk and pop, the beat draws you in. I love singing this song, I love what the band does with it.
Title:
Daylight (Cover, Alison Krauss)
Description:
I am often compared to Allison Krauss, the pop version. It is impossible to live up to the standards of Allison and Union Station, but I am flattered. She has a surreal soprano voice, light as air. Always fun to put a pop-indie spin on her country classics.
Title:
In the Bleak Midwinter (Original Arrangement)
Description:
Most often sung with reverence, I was asked to put a pop spin on this song. I learned that praise to God comes in many packages. Sung from the heart, giving my heart.
Title:
It's Christmas Time
Description:
My original Christmas song written in 2009. Yes, it takes forever to get something going. Many rewrites and versions, but I think I'm getting this one down to where I like it. People say it is a song that is catchy, as if they have always known and sung it. Wow, that's a compliment.
Title:
Rolling in the Deep (Cover, Adele)
Description:
This is one of the first times I played Rolling in the Deep by Adele. I was extremely nervous about singing this song considering the fact it is not one of the easiest songs to sing. Usually when I sing this song I don't even say the title, because it is sooo popular. I do give Adele credit though I don't necessarily DO Her Credit! I realized however, I had to do this song again and again. A real crowd pleaser.
Title:
Fragile Little Me (Cover, Morgan McPherson)
Description:
Morgan McPhersen is a local artist I've had the opportunity to play with several times. After hearing her songs there was one that I especially loved, Fragile Little Me. I was determined to learn this song because it is a song of transition and renewal. In the song there is a girl who believes she has found love, only to discover a betrayal. As the song progresses the girl realizes she is complete in her self. The song is a dark ballad along the lines of Paramore or Evanescence, the music lurid.
Title:
My Guy
Description:
This is a showcase of my reggae side, one of my older songs but I still love playing it and it always gets the people moving. I sometimes play this on the ukulele and beat on the side for rhythm. The only thing missing is the margarita.
Title:
Get it While You Can (Cover, Janis Joplin)
Description:
This song is sung in honor of the 27 Club. I love Janis Joplin, she represents so much and captures the greatest emotion in her voice. The quintessential rock queen no one will ever come close to. And what's up with her hair?
